Let’s workout together!
Thank you for your interest in helping us both continue our fitness journeys
Here’s the deal
I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and have a new-to-me training style & methodology I want to develop further. This is where you come in - I can’t practice just on myself. This form will help me determine if you are a good candidate who will benefit from this type of training as much I will benefit from your feedback.
I’m on the hunt for a handful of KC area humans who have been on the fence about adding personal training into their routine but have not been able to commit to a person or plan for one reason or another. Don’t feel comfortable going to a gym? Work from home and don’t have time/interest in driving to another space to workout? Had a bad experience in the past? Let’s chat!
If you are a good match here is what you will receive:
- 6wks of personal training (2x 1hr sessions per week) built around your schedule and your personal fitness goals
- option for in-home training (preferred) or we can book space at a gym (TBD)
- copy of our training plans at the end of the program
- my feedback and referrals for additional training resources (including other coaches who may be a better long-term fit for you in the future)
- 50-60% off my usual rate for committing to the program: you just pay for the mileage for me to travel to/from your location ($275-$380 total TBD)
While I would love to be able to offer this programming free of charge, there are several factors hindering me from being able to at this time. However, as I am still learning and working out the kinks, I cannot in good conscience charge full rate for these sessions. I want to help you as much as I’d like your help!
If you are interested but would like more information before filling out this form, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line: esherman.fitness@gmail.com

So what are we really doing?
What is the new-to-you modality?
Below is a link to the product we will be using during our training sessions, basically a portable cable machine, that I am trying to test the efficacy of providing “high resistance” training without the need of hauling a shit load of weights around with me to work with clients. It can simulate up to 300lbs of resistance, but only in the concentric phase so there are some limitations.
https://maxprofitness.com/.
Do I need to buy one of these machines?
Absolutely not - unless you end up really liking working with the MaxPro, (you can use that link above to find out more). I will bring everything we need for the programming, including a specialized bench, all the accessories for the machine, and additional props (think foam rollers and/or yoga blocks).
How does it work?
It uses a series of magnetic resistance to generate a variety of weight options, similar to a rowing machine but much smaller. For best practice in your home (or the location we choose to meet to do your training), we will need access to a door that closes in and at a comfortable amount of working space around that door. We can get creative with our programming if you don’t have a great space with the correct orientation of door, but there will be some limitations
Do we have to use this machine?
For this program offer, yeup that’s the deal. I am happy to provide other types of training that is more specific to your goals in other traditional gym and fitness modalities if that is what you would prefer to work on, but I would need to charge my full rate for those sessions (see Coaching for full list of services and program options).
